Having moved in to EvilHouse(4) around a week ago, getting the Foxtel moved over was no more troublesome than a phone-call. The technician appeared on the next business day, I was extremely impressed.
That said, WauloK and I did not find out until that night that we had some issues on the downstairs cable box.
- Sci Fi channel is distorted to the point of not being watchable.
- None of the free-to-air channels work.
So now I’m sitting at home, waiting for the cable TV repairmain to arrive, and fix the problem with our downstairs Foxtel box.

Hey Striker, hold back and select on the box to reset it, this will fix the distored sci-fi channel
free to air, call foxtel and they can reset it from their computer, it just needs the permissions reset, to work

@Anthony – The Foxtel guy was here, and it turns out there were a tonne of issues with the old wiring in this house.
Two connections not properly terminated. One problem in the pit outside, and an issue in the box on the wall outside also.
Since the visit, everything seems to be running perfectly.
Thanks for the advice though, I’ll most definitely keep it in mind in case something else ever goes wrong.
