It’s been a long LONG time since I’ve been geocaching.
WauloK and I used to go from time to time, then he moved to Brisbane, and that was the end of it for me.
Last night, however, armed with nothing but two iPhones (with geocaching apps), and a satnav unit, we went looking.
It didn’t take long before our first find, and while we expected to find a travelbug inside, the cache was empty.
The second cache was also a very easy find.
We got real close to two others, but pulled out from the last-metre search due to muggles, and arrived at (but abandoned) two more, also due to the presence of muggles.
Right now we are discussing the forming of a team, getting shirts, car stickers, travel bug numbers, etc.

Hehe, still love the muggle term.
Glad you’d fun getting outdoor. Keep it up and i’m sure you’ll find more treasures. Blog about the kitties.
so in terms of geocaching.. what is a muggle?
just a random person nearby who you don’t want to see the cache?
Bloody hell that sounds like fun… I’ll join in one of these days when I have an iPhone
@Muggle #1 – Kittie pics are up on twitpics, nothing interesting to blog about though.
@Melanie – A muggle is an “unwelcome person”, generally people who don’t know about geocaching. Obviously we can’t make the final discovery while these people are around, otherwise someone may just come along and steal the contents of the cache.
@Bas – It is a LOT of fun. You can come along anytime, play with my iPhone if you like. Two iPhones and two satnavs is more than enough
I’m a muggle for the most part these days.. Geocaching is tons of fun!! Glad you’re getting back into it!
