iiNet quota upgrades.

So iiNet has once again come to the party and upgraded their ADSL2+ quotas.

This time from 60/60 to 70/70 (70gb peak, and 70gb offpeak).
Shaping for Home5 plans and above has also been lifted from 128k to 256k.

140gb of quota per month is a ridiculous amount. EvilHouse doesn’t use anywhere close to this amount, and never has.

WauloK was suggesting that we both start streaming porn to try and make up the quota we are not currently using.

I suggested we both find girlfriends instead, and downgrade our plan.
(Applications for the position of girlfriend can be sent to us via face-book) ;)

I watch a lot of movies with Bas, he’s a great friend, and my ‘movie buddy’.

Last week we went to see “How to train your dragon”, an animated movie in 3D.
It was only a couple of months ago where we watched Avatar in 3D. Twice.

When Avatar was released, it was an amazing step forward in 3D. My eyes didn’t hurt much at the end of it, everything was crisp and clear, and I didn’t have to wear those idiotic red and blue glasses.

When will there be another movie like Avatar? Who knows, I’m sure it is still a long way off.

This is where animated movies have a head start. All they need to do, as best as I understand it, is to render the movie a second time (okok, so I have no idea what the technical requirements are).

How to train your dragon was a brilliant movie, and while I think it wasn’t as crisp and polished as Avatar was, I believe that animated 3D will take off more or less immediately while, for lack of a better word, real live movies will lag behind considerably in 3D technology.

Sure, everyone will add the 3D tag to their movie, and throw in a few after-effects, but when will the next live-action full-3D movie like Avatar come around?
