My name is Striker,

I am a lot of things, in short, a slightly gothy, slightly geeky guy with a passion for technology, Apple products, fast cars and fire-twirling.

Cars have been a passion for most of my life, whether it’s been V8s, turbocharged four cylinder cars, or like I have now, a turbocharged six.

Gone are the days where they were my life, but I still get a lot of enjoyment from driving, especially at night, and on open roads (or roads with no traffic).

My biggest hobby at this point is fire-twirling. I consider myself to be at beginner level with staff, poi, flower sticks and fire-eating, even though I have in the past taught other people some moves (especially with the staff).

After many years in the IT industry doing everything from support to network administration, using a number of different operating systems (Windows, Linux, FreeBSD), I finally resigned in 2009, and now use Apple products at home.

I was so sick of crashy operating systems, or having to maintain a computer. All I want is to turn the computer on, and have it work. Apple products do just that.

Most of the time I live in my own world, pretending that reality isn’t really there. I don’t watch the news, and I don’t listen to the radio. I find the real world to be too depressing, and am working on trying to build a happy and comfortable existance for myself.

One day I’ll find a girl to share it with, settle down, have a family, that kind of thing. Until then, I’ll go about my life experiencing new things, chasing some adventures, meeting random people off the internet (meeting randoms can be a lot of fun).
